Activities
The College admits students from all sections of society and of mixed abilities. Although a large number of students hail from and semi-urban areas, the college takes pride to say that its dedicated staff has maintained the results at a high level.
Some of our students have performed exceedingly well in University examinations and brought laurels to the institution. In the previous academic year Kum. Rekhia Dutta was awarded the 2nd rank in B.B.A. by Bangalore University. Mr. Sachin .K. of B.A. was awarded 3 Gold Medals for securing highest marks in Kannada. Also our students Kum. Chitra .R., Mr. Bheemaraj .G. and Mr. Punith Kumar .N. made us proud by winning medals at National Level Yoga and Taekwondo Competitions.
Sports and Games:
The college Physical Education Department provides indoor and outdoor games facilities. Students are encouraged and trained in various sports and games. Special encouragement is given to students who represent the state or the nation in any sports activity.
It is a matter of pride that students from our college have been chosen as players for both the Volley ball team and the Kabaddi team at the University level. They have also won prizes in Cricket and Kabaddi at the University level.
National Service Scheme:
A unit of the Bangalore University NSS is established in our college also. The committed volunteers engage themselves in socially productive useful work.
Conferences, Seminars and Workshops
The college conducts State and National level seminars every year in different disciplines. This, provides the right meeting ground for scholarly discussions. Both teachers and students learn much through these exposures. Besides this, workshops are arranged exclusively for students. These complement class-room teaching and provide students an opportunity to learn from good resource persons.
Co-curricular and Extra-curricular activities:
The College believes in all round growth of the student. Stress in a laid on co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Debates, essay-writing competitions, quiz and various other competitions are conducted every year. Besides this, students are motivated to participate in inter-collegiate competitions. Laurels won by our students in many inter-collegiate competitions testify our claim.
